Their guest kitchen is perfect for those who want to try their hand at cooking up some authentic Japanese dishes, ask the team for their cooking tips, they’re keen to help.

They have private twin and double rooms and a dorm style room that can sleep up to four travellers at a time. Com Inn has its own cute little cafe complete with WiFi access. Com Inn is close to Yokogawa station from which you can connect to Miyajima and Iwakuni; the logical next stops after Hiroshima. The staff are super friendly and will go above and beyond to please their guests, every time!

The staff are happy and bubbly, keen to help backpackers maximise their time in Japan. Backpackers Miyajima is only a 10-minute walk from the UNESCO world heritage Miyajima floating shrine; an incredible spot and a serious must-visit!

It would be inaccurate to describe Kyobashi Ryokan as the best hostel in Hiroshima in 2021 as its definitely more of a guesthouse. They have private rooms only but cater for backpackers seeking traditional Japanese hospitality. The Kyobashi Ryokan team will be the first to admit their English isn’t top notch but they are welcoming, friendly and super accommodating; what more could you want, really?
